Joseph's birthday is August 9, 1998. He enjoyed his first birthday as much as a
one-year-old can, with with balloons, cake, presents, and friends. The balloons was
his favorite part.
The first thing he saw when he got up from his nap was the
balloons. He wasn't too sure about all the people that were around. He
continued to play with the balloon for weeks, until we finally deflated it and put it
away.
The cake on the left was for the adults and was loaded with the normal
sugar and bad-for-you stuff. Joseph had his own healthy cake, and most of the guests
liked it too. Joseph didn't know what to do with the cake until we broke it up and
fed him some. He has always been a fairly clean eater.
Many friends came for the celebration, including CJ and Jazmine.
Everyone else were adults.
The presents were fun too. Joseph was too young at Christmas to know
what presents were then, but at this point he was catching on to wrapping paper, boxed,
and toys. Of course, now he is a pro, and loves helping other people with their
presents too.
