East Bay Traditional Jazz Society

Youth Scholarships

EBTJS maintains a fund to grant scholarships to young musicians in the east bay area who want to study Dixieland jazz.

To qualify for these scholarships, a young musician must

1. Read music, know their instrument, and be willing attend either summer jazz camp or special tutoring in traditional jazz.
2. Contribute their talents to the East Bay Trad Jazz Youth Band for one year.

Student musicians who work with us can use their playing/performance time for community service hours toward graduation.

Young musicians seeking a grant from the fund should print out and submit this application.
