The pew is my comfort, I don't want anything else.
I lie myself down in deep cushions of complacency.
I stay beside the stillness of inactivity.
I'm content with myself,
I follow the paths on non commitment for my own sake.
Yes, though I walk through the light of making a difference
I will fear no involvement,
For I am glad not to be bothered, and take my seat.
For Indecision and Procrastination are a comfort to me.
I want God and everyone else to prepare everything for me
And, because I won't stand up for Christ
I have no enemies.
I want everything to go smoothly and for everyone to get along
I don't want myself too dedicated, let me be, and
Don't let this faith thing get to my head.
Don't let my cup run over, just a little drop now and then will do.
Surely, ignorance and complacency will stick with me
Whenever I decide to come to Church, and
I'll hang around as a good pew member
And stay noncommittal and wavering forever,

Don't Be a "Pew" Member.
Get out, get involved, and help make a difference for the Lord!
