February 8th Valentine's Tournament       What a wonderful turnout for our Valentine's event. Everyone was in such high spirits this evening. Maestro Dante called out the tournament rules to all the fencers after each fencer had signed up on the list. Listmistress Katie did a great job in keeping all the fencers either on deck or bouting in one of the two fencing erics throughtout the tournament.    Each fencer fought five bouts with five different opponents and using as many as five different weapons forms according to their rank. This made the bouting even more fun to watch as not every bout matched fencers with the same offhand weapons. Many jokes were traded back and forth while the fencing was ongoing. Eventually the last bout came down to J.B. and Seth. J.B. came out the winner after an evening of fine dueling. After Seth and J.B. were awarded their prizes, it was time for birthday cake, (Sam and Patrick) and cookies and drinks. After the snacks the better part of the class got together in an impromptu melee of six against six. All in all it was a great evening full of fun.
