E. V. Cain Presentation 2006 |
The day's weather promie to be good for this
day's event. The Diamond Rose arrived in good time and set up the pavilion and borders and flags. Soon, students were lining up to be taught fencing. Most
of them wanted to be instant fencers, but quickly learned that footwork is the basis for fencing, and not swishing swords. We were given student helpers to assist in lining the kids up for a lesson. Most everyone from the Diamond Rose who attended this event was given the opportunity to teach a group of students, regardless of their rank. In addition to teaching the many students from E.V. Cain school, there were activities to participate in, crafts to learn and lots of free food and drink. After the event, the Diamond Rose group went out to eat pizza. Thank you to everyone who came out to help us. The guild earned a small reward in adition to making valuable contacts and friends. |
